Commemorative Stamps for Zhenghe’s Sailing to the West Issued in Qingdao

　　To commemorate the grand sailing of Zhenghe, who is a famous navigator in Chinese history, Chinese General Post Office join hands with the post offices of Hongkong and Macao to issue a set of stamps. The same subject is depicted on the three pieces of the set: image of Zhenghe; exploration, trade and diplomatism; navigation technologies. The issuing ceremony was held in the Fushan Campus of China Ocean University on June 28, 2005.

On the issuing ceremony, Mr. Cai Lunbin, the Deputy Secretary of Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and other officials from Shandong Provincial Post Office inaugurate for the commemorative stamps, while some other officials stamp the post mark on the commemorative evelops.
